July 30 Show

We go out sailing with the Folsom Lake Yacht Club to enjoy the Notes on Boats event in New York Cove.  We also re-visit the Crocker Art Auction from June, listening to those in attendance and an artist for their perspectives on the event.  The interviews from the art auction are ones that have not been heard on the show (for the most part).

Radio Programming Schedule

The radio show will not air this Sunday (July 16) due to technical difficulties.  My apologies.

The show is set to resume on July 23.  On that show, we will feature the following:

• Sacramento Region Porsche Club’s Concours D’Elegance
• Sacramento Capitals Wheelchair Tennis Association, Tournament
• Pete Sampras Press Conference on July 12 at Sunrise Mall, Citrus Heights.

The Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance is the preeminent car show in the world.  It attracts the wealthy, the glitterati and the Hollywood types, and it occurs annually here in Northern California.

Velvet Red Media has just learned that it has obtain full media credential for this wonderful event held August 17 – 20 in Pebble Beach.  Underwriting is needed to pay for travel, lodging and meal expenses.  Please click on the tab above entitled "Sponsorship Opportunities" for more information.

New Change: June 11 Show to be Rebroadcast on June 18 at 8 p.m.

Last week, the show was broadcast over Access Sacramento on Comcast but was not broadcast over Live 365 (the internet).  Therefore, it will be re-broadcast at 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 18.  No new shows will air until Sunday, July 2.  On July 2, the show will likely be on the Notes on Boats outing with the Folsom Lake Yacht Club and the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce golf tournament.

I apologize for any confusion.

Velvet Red Media attended two charity events over the weekend of June 2 and 3, "A Taste of Fair Oaks" and the Crocker Museum Art Auction.  Both events are featured on the June 11 show.

On Friday evening, June 2, the Spagnoli Group presented "A Taste of Fair Oaks" at the Northridge Country Club in Fair Oaks.  Originally conceived by the Fair Oaks Chamber, the event this year doubled attendance over last year.  The organizers estimate that 700 people attended this year — so many people that they ran out of wine glasses (an integral part of the winetasting).  Undaunted, they quickly
